How to market your student blog.

Since I started this blog in February it has not received as much attention as I wanted. I couldn't understand what I was doing wrong, I have been writing new posts every week and have tried to make it an interesting blog for people to visit. However, I have discovered that I may not be receiving as many views and comments as I had initially hoped because I have not effectively marketed my blog. What is the point of updating your blog every week if no one is going to read it?

If you want your blog to be a success, it is important you make your blog accessible to both human internet users and also to search engines. There are many things you can do to get people to visit your blog and encourage them to come back again and tell their friends. Now i have realised where I have been going wrong, I have made several changes to my blog in an attempt to boost my viewings and followers. I have created this guide on how to market your student blog to help you make your site well known and successful so all the hours you spend updating your blog are not for nothing.

"The huge sense of achievement you feel when you have finally finished uni is so completely worth it, trust me!"
Hayley Hughes was a straight A student at school and had always dreamed of working abroad after finishing her modern European languages degree at Durham University. After becoming pregnant during her first year,Hayley's priorities changed but she decided to continue with her studies through the Open University. Hayley graduated in 2008 with a first class honours degree in English Language and has managed to avoid being one of the thousands of unemployed graduates in the UK. Hayley has agreed to do this interview today to share her unconventional university experience, to tell us what she has been up to career wise since graduation and to give personal advice to all the struggling final year students out there.

The iPad 3

For the past three years my gadget of choice has been my bright pink laptop, it is a pretty basic machine but does everything I need it to so it's good enough for me. However, many people seem to be favouring tablets over laptops these days and I can see the advantages. You can take them anywhere, they are easy to carry around and they look good. Tomorrow sees the release of one of the most highly anticipated tablets, Apple's new iPad. I have decided to review the iPad 3's new features to find out why its release has got the world so excited.

My time at University has almost come to an end and the thought of leaving and no longer being a student brings with it quite a lot of stress. I have really enjoyed being a student but as I will be graduating in July I am beginning to worry about what I am going to do for money once my final student loan is gone and how long it will take me to pay off my student debt.

However, should us students of today be more grateful for all the financial support we have been given during our time at university or have we not been given enough? I was interested to discover how student financial support and tuition fees have changed over the years so I have created this timeline of important dates in the history of student funding in the UK.

Graduation is rapidly approaching and after 3 years of student life it is nearly time to enter the world of employment. I don't know about my fellow third year students, but I am really stressing about finding a job once uni is over. It probably doesn't help that after 3 years of studying I still have no idea what job I want to do, hopefully I am not the only person having this problem?!

However, everyone has to find a job eventually and in order to bag that dream job you must first be successful in your interview. I know from personal experience that interviews can be pretty scary so I have created a tried and tested guide on how to ace a job interview to help lower your stress levels and boost your confidence!
