About

I have created this blog to document the events and decisions made during my final term at Swansea University. I have chosen to start this blog as I feel my experiences may be interesting to other final year students who will be able to relate to what I have to say. The posts on this blog may be useful for people considering a media degree as I will be including first hand accounts of what work is involved and what to expect in their final year.
I have decided to call my blog 'Countdown to the Real World' as I will include posts on how I am preparing to enter the world of employment , the ‘real world’, and how I feel about my life as a student nearly coming to an end. Not only will the blog posts comment on the academic side of being a final year student but I will also be writing about looking for permanent accommodation, finding a job and the issues and stress that come with leaving university. I will also include posts commenting on any current issues raised in the news to do with unemployment and how the job market currently looks for graduates.
This blog is largely aimed at current final year students but it will also be useful to people who are considering studying a media degree at University. I hope my blog will provide readers with information about what to expect during the final year of university and I also hope it will offer students a place to express how they are feeling about graduating this year.
